Our work / Case study

A live tournament bracket for The Gathering Well.

The Gathering Well is a community for adoptive and foster families. For their Pickleball Classic fundraiser, we built one app to run the whole tournament: players follow on their phones, organizers enter scores, and the venue TV shows it all.

What we built
Live tournament bracket app

One score, everyone updated.

A printed bracket works until a game runs long or a score is written down wrong. Then everyone crowds the table asking who plays next.

We put the whole format into one app, so the next game, the standings and the playoffs update for everyone the moment a score is entered.

What we built.

  • A view for players

Brackets, standings and the next game on any phone, with nothing to download.

  • A scoring table

Organizers enter scores behind a PIN, and can fix a score if something goes wrong.

  • A big screen for the venue

A TV view built to be read from across the room.

  • Pools, then playoffs

Pool play feeds the playoffs automatically, with a manual override for organizers.

  • Times and courts

Start times and courts can be changed for each bracket on the day.

  • Help and giving

A help chat answers questions about the format, next to a link to give to The Gathering Well.

Where it stands.

Built for the Pickleball Classic on October 3, 2026, at The Jar Pickleball Club.

Before the event, an automated test played a full simulated tournament day through the app, from the first game to the championship.
