Homeowners post work, local pros in the right trade hear about it and send quotes, and the owner runs the whole thing from one console. We built it and launched it end to end.
A marketplace has to work for two very different people on day one. Homeowners need posting a job to take a minute. Pros need leads they can act on from a phone between jobs.
And the owner needs to see everything without calling a developer: who signed up, which jobs went unanswered, and which profiles need attention.
Accounts with email confirmation, plus Google sign-in, for homeowners and pros.
A new job emails the pros who do that kind of work, and reminders go out when nobody has answered.
Several pros can quote one job, talk with the customer in the app, and earn reviews they can reply to.
Work photos, published prices, share links and a verified badge tied to the pro’s Google Business Profile.
Answers visitors’ questions from the site’s own pages, and hands off to a person when it is not sure.
Accounts, jobs, profile health and an audit log, with a nightly check that the data still adds up.
I Got a Guy launched in July 2026 with real accounts and email, and we have kept building on it with the owner since.
Every release runs through a test suite that signs in as real users in a real browser before it goes live.
